Once again this year the Volunteering team is asking members to produce knitted or crocheted poppies for sale by the Royal British Legion in November 2026.  There is a selection of different easy poppy patterns which can be downloaded here, or are available from the Volunteering desk at lectures.

The Arts Society can claim Gift Aid on a proportion of the membership fee.  For the tax years 2023/24 and 2024/25 this amount is £15.94. For the year 2025/26 the amount is £16.20.

The programme for March 2026 to February 2027 can be viewed and downloaded here. Printed programmes are available at the sign-in desk as usual.

Visitors are welcome to attend a lecture upon prior notification to the Membership Secretary, membership.colchester@theartssociety.org, and payment of £7 on the day.

Members can leave feedback on lectures using the password pass2026, and all members are encouraged to do so. Thank you.

The Arts Society has developed a YouTube channel, as an easy way for Members to stay up to date and comment on the latest videos and arts-related posts.  Subscribing also means you won’t miss new episodes of the Artfully Said Podcast, featuring engaging conversations and ideas from lecturers and experts. ​
